About

Welcome to Training Sons To Be Men. A mom’s job in training her sons is not the same as Dad’s, but it is so vital to their walk with the Father and growth in the Scriptures, because Moms are usually with sons more during the day, administering Dad’s instruction and goals to the son.

Training Sons began as an off-shoot of Training Daughters, Teaching Wives, Training Sons’ true “sister-site”. Having three older daughters, the experience came much sooner with them than with our sons. After our son turned 11, he decided he wanted to do a project with Mom as an online magazine like his sisters were doing, and with encouragement and pleading from friends, Mom decided it was a good idea to start a sons blogroll and website as well to give inspiration, wisdom from the Word and insight to experience.

Just as we began Training Daughters as an inspiring site to give resources that will help equip you as the Mother, as you train your daughters, wives-in-training, to become who God designed them to be, Training Sons is here to inspire and encourage you as you train your sons, Mom.

Mrs. Jacque Dixon and her husband, Matt, train their eight children up in the LORD home schooling on their small homestead in Indiana. They are the founders of Gleaning the Harvest, presenting widows and fatherless to the Body of Christ. She is owner and publisher of Training Sons to Be Men, and Training Daughters, Teaching Wives, where she is a regular columnist. You can also read encouraging home school articles and more about the Dixon family at Walking Therein.

We do not wish this to be a forum or in competition with any site or publication.
