I have not posted about the new puppy we got on the 20th of September. I don’t know why, with Blondie being gone. She is named after a girl in history named Sonora Webster, who dived from a tower into a pool of water on a horse. There is also a town in Texas called Sonora, and we stopped there on our great vacation of ‘08. Momma named her that in honour of Sonora and Sonora, TX. Here I am now, posting some photos I took of her for you.

She is such a sweet puppy, and very much a part of our family now. She is actually Blondie’s half sister, as they had the same mother but different fathers. She was in a surprise litter of puppies and the only girl in the litter of three.

Her snout is getting longer, as Blondie’s did when she was a puppy. That’s one thing about her I liked.

She’s very playful with everyone and loves to be outside and be walked around the yard.

We’ve never had a black puppy before, and I never did like black animals. But I wouldn’t exchange her for any other puppy. Now if I could have Blondie back too, I would have them both. :)

Rachel, you are very blessed to have Blondie’s half sister! I *so* wish we could have gotten a brother or sister of my dog Simon. He died last year, as you may know, and we all miss him dearly. He was a Golden Retriever, Chow, & German Shepherd mix. He was just the right mix of friendly, playful, and guardian all at the same time. His snout looked like Sonora’s. :)
