You know that saying, “Joy comes in the morning…” Well, although lots of joys come in the morning, but I have found that where I find joy the most is in the things that I have been graciously given by Yeshua. Things like my salvation through Yeshua’s sacrifice, my beloved family, and my life that now has a meaning.
In Psalms 4, David is praising ADONAI because he has given him rest, and filled him with joy because ADONAI has given him victory.
7You have filled my heart with more joy than all their grain and new wine. 8I will lie down and sleep in peace; for, ADONAI, you alone make me live securely.
I find joy in the fact that one day, I will be able to live forever with my wonderful Saviour. It really makes me wonder how He could care so much about me, that He would comedown and die on a cross so I could live forever. I will praise HIM forever with a loud voice for all the gifts ADONAI has given me.
Psalms 95 1-7 tells us to sing to ADONAI with a shout for joy. HE is the Rock of our Salvation. HE is a great and mighty GOD and we should be joyful as His creation for all He has given us.
1 Come, let’s sing to ADONAI! Let’s shout for joy to the Rock of our salvation! 2 Let’s come into his presence with thanksgiving; let’s shout for joy to him with songs of praise. 3 For ADONAI is a great God, a great king greater than all gods. 4 He holds the depths of the earth in his hands; the mountain peaks too belong to him. 5 The sea is his – he made it -and his hands shaped the dry land. 6 Come, let’s bow down and worship; let’s kneel before ADONAI who made us. 7 For he is our God, and we are the people in his pasture, the sheep in his care.
Psalm 40:8 says, “Doing your will, my God, is my joy; your Torah is in my inmost being.” We can find joy in following the will of God, and in His Word. Despite the restrictiveness the world puts on wanting to do God’s will and finding anything but hardships in the process, you can find joy in doing His will. There is joy in the Lord.
I find joys in the little things as well as in the big things – like flowers blossoming in the early spring, the lush green grass, our chickens, goats and rabbits, my family, my wonderful old house. There are so many things I find joy in.
Tell me, what are some of the things you find joy in? Share them with me in a comment.

Matthew 5:14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
