I have seen Blog Rolls all over the internet, but have never found the recipe that makes them. I decided to give it a try and make my own! SO – tell me how you like my Blog Rolls when you try them yourself. :)
Blog Rolls
3 1/3-3 3/4 cups of fun friends (flour)
1/4 cup sweet graphics (sugar)
1/4 cup bright colours (shortening or butter)
1 tsp. bit-of-know-how (salt)
1 pkg. of encouragement (yeast)
1/2 cup nice comments (warm water)
1/2 cup good blog posts (very warm milk)
1 proof-reader (egg)
Now to make these delicious Blog Rolls, mix 2 cups of fun friends, the sweet graphics, the bright colours, bit-of-know-how, and the encouragement in a 2-1/2 quart bowl. Add in the nice comments, good blog posts, and proof-reader. Beat on low speed, scraping the bottom of the bowl constantly, 1 minute. Stir in enough remaining fun friends to make the dough easy to handle.
Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface; knead until smooth and elastic, about 5 minutes. Place in greased 2-1/2 quart bowl; turn greased side up. Cover and let rise in warm and cozy place until it’s double, about 1 hour. (The dough is ready if indentation remains when touched.) Punch down dough; make into 2-inch balls. Brush with a bit of bright colours. Cover and let rise until double, about 30 minutes. Heat the oven to 400*. Bake until golden brown, 12-18 minutes.
Well, tell me how these worked out for all of you, if you make them. I had a fun time thinking up the recipe and trying it. :) Just kidding. But there are some great blog rolls out there you can join. Are you a part of any blog rolls? What are they?
