Tropical Traditions Canadian Raw Honey Review {Giveaway}

******SORRY THIS GIVEAWAY IS CLOSED********

When Jocelyn first got some of the Certified Organic Canadian Raw Honey from Tropical Traditions, I was a little leery about tasting it. It was strange to me, being completely raw. I now know that this is undoubtedly the best honey I’ve had EVER! I love it. It’s like eating candy right out of the jar.  I could never stomach the honey we buy by just eating it by the spoonful. I don’t know what it was, but I just gagged when I tried to eat it on a spoon. I http://www.tropicaltraditions.com/images/organic_raw_honey%20sm.jpgfirst got a spoonful of this creamy white stuff when I was sick and didn’t want to eat it. It has a strong honey smell but the taste is so much better than the heated honey we usually buy. I wish it was the only honey we use!

I’ve made a couple of things with it, but I had to heat it first to make it to a runny consistency. It wasn’t that big of a deal, since I just melted it with the coconut oil for making chocolate ‘bark’ for cookies. I also used it in my hot tea. I found it was not as sweet as the heated honey we usually got and had to use a little bit more than I regularly did to get a hint of honey in the tea. You will fall head over heals for this honey once you taste it. Even Amanda, who does NOT eat honey by the spoonful, loved it! This stuff definitely gets a five star rating from me. It’s the best honey I’ve had ever. I know you will love it when you try it. :)

From the site -

“In order for honey to be certified organic, the beehives must be placed in isolated areas miles from the dense population, industry, traffic congestion, and farm fields treated with chemicals and landfills. Second, a bee’s flying range is determined by their natural instinct which tells them to stay within their natural four mile range from the hive location. Finding area which can be certified organic is extremely difficult, which is why there are so few certified organic honeys on the market. Tropical Traditions sources its honey from hives in the wild frontier areas of Canada.”

    Actually, their honey is exactly what I’ve been wanting to try! My grandparents buy their coconut oil (which is superb) and as of now we use Great Value honey from Walmart…. not exactly healthy stuff, so I definitely want to sample their honey! Their moisturizing lotion looks like it would be worth trying too. Coconut oil is so great for the skin…

    Hmmm… another product I would like to try is their coconut flour. I can’t eat wheat flour, so this might be a good alternative.
