SP&P – {He’ll} Take Care of the Rest
I by chance happened upon this Psalm while reading the Scriptures, Psalm
46. I was surprised to see that I had no memory of reading it before, but I must have because the words are ones I knew. There’s a song by Keith Green that Momma has on her playlist that I like. I am not a big Keith Green fan, though I do like some of his songs. This one in particular, He’ll Take Care Of The Rest, is one of my favourites.
In these troubling times, we need to remember that nothing can happen without Yahweh allowing it to happen. We are told many times that there will be wars, disease, famines and earthquakes, but we are not to be afraid of any of them. The only thing we are to fear is Yahweh. That’s it, nothing else.
He’ll Take Care Of The Rest
You know it ain’t no use, banging your head, up against that cold stone wall,
Cause nobody’s perfect, except for the Lord, and even the best bound to fall,
Remember He is de vine, and you are de branch,
He’d love to get you through it if you’d give Him a chance,
Just keep doing your best,
And pray that it’s blessed,
And Yeshua takes care of the rest.
Psalm 46:1:3 “For the leader. By the descendants of Korach. On ‘alamot [high-pitched musical instruments?]. A song: Yahweh is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. 2 Therefore we are unafraid, even if the earth gives way, even if the mountains tumble into the depths of the sea, 3 even if its waters rage and foam, and mountains shake at its turbulence.”
We don’t need to fear, because Yahweh is our refuge and strength, and there is none greater than He. He is always there with us in our troubles, no matter how big and daunting they seem. Remember, He will never give you more than you can handle. We will stand unafraid, even if earthquakes, wars, famines and diseases come to the land. We will not be afraid. Just do your best to serve Him and He’ll take care of the rest.
Yes the Lord said that He’d take care of the rest, He’s gonna do it,
He’ll take care of the rest, He’ll see you through it,
He’ll take care of the rest, the devil blew it,
He’ll take care of the, He’ll take care of the rest.Just think about Moses, in front of the burning bush, barefoot on the Holy ground,
You know, he must have been thinking, what’s an old dude like me,
Gonna tell em all when I go down, go down Moses,
The Lord said, hey Moe, don’t you worry about going down south,
I’ll be saying every word that comes out of your mouth,
Just keep doing your best, and pray that it’s blessed,
Hey Moe, I’ll take care of the rest.
Psalm 46:4-6 “There is a river whose streams gladden the city of Yahweh, the holy habitation of ‘Elyon 5 Yahweh is in the city. It will not be moved when daybreak comes, Yahweh will help it. 6 Nations were in turmoil, kingdoms were moved; his voice thundered forth, and the earth melted away.” And yet… He is still our fortress of solitude. He will take care of us. He has promised us He will.
Yes the Lord said that He’d take care of the rest, he’s gonna do it,
He’ll take care of the rest, He’ll see you through it,
He’ll take care of the rest, oh, Pharaoh blew it,
He’ll take care of the, He’ll take care of the rest.Just believe, and you’ll receive, that comfort you need,
You just think about all those lonely people you know,
They’ve got everything they want, but they have empty souls,
Well, He’ll take care of the, He’ll take care of the, He’ll take care of the, care of the rest.
Psalm 46:7-9 “ADONAI-Tzva’ot is with us, our fortress, the God of Ya’akov. (Selah) (Selah) 8 Come and see the works of Yahweh, the astounding deeds he has done on the earth. 9 To the ends of the earth he makes wars cease he breaks the bow, snaps the spear, burns the shields in the fire.”
We will be able to see His mighty works among the nations, and still not be moved with fear. We will see and hear of wars, but He will do the fighting for us, as He did when He gave Himself as a sacrifice and gave us the grace of Torah to become Believers though we were lost sinners, transgressing His law.
You just think about Noah, toting his umbrella, when there wasn’t a cloud in the sky,
All his neighbors would laugh at his pet giraffe, and would snicker as he walked by,
But the Lord said, hey Noah, keep cool, just keep building that boat,
It’s just a matter of time till they see who’s gonna float,
You just keep doing your best, and pray that it’s blessed,
Hey Noah, I’ll take care of the rest, I’m the weatherman. The Lord said that he’ll take care of the rest, He’s gonna do it,
He’ll take care of the rest, He’ll see you through it,
He’ll take care of the rest, his neighbors blew it,
He’ll take care of the rest, He’s gonna do it, He’s gonna do it,
He’ll take care of the rest, only Yeshua can see you through it,
He’ll take care of the rest, yes, yes, yes,
He’ll take care of the, He’ll take care of the rest….
Psalm 46:10-11 “‘Desist, and learn that I am Yahweh, supreme over the nations, supreme over the earth.’ 11 ADONAI-Tzva’ot is with us, our fortress, the God of Ya’akov. (Selah)”
I will not be afraid, for I know that Yahweh is with me wherever I go and in whatever I do. He will protect and defend me. He is my Guide, whom I will gladly follow to wherever He leads me, be it the far ends of the earth. I want to please Yahweh, and if that means giving up being fearful (why should I be in the first place?!) than that is what I will do. I will no longer fear the things of this world, for they are only of Satan and his minions. He is not worthy to be feared. Yahweh is worthy to be feared, and should be the only thing we as Believers should fear.
