Story Of Lessons & Patients
I am a little girl I live in a nice comfortable house in Indiana, I was looking out the window and my mother was sitting on the couch, all my brothers and sisters where playing a cleaning up. Then I was only nine. I love all sweets, and I wanted to make some brownies to post on my blog. So I went to ask my mother about them, my mother’s first answer was “I’m not sure dear…” I said “Oh, mother I can make them, I will clean everything up! Oh mommy I promise I can and will!”, “Umm” mother said “Alright, but you must clean everything up when you are done, and I mean wash all the dishes you used to.” I said, with a happy voice “Okay believe me I will”.
My name is Hannah, so I went hoping downstairs, and Amanda was standing behind to door listening to me, and followed me downstairs and said in a whisper “What are you makin’?” “Whoa!!” I said, and I said back to her in a whisper “Brownies, but don’t tell anyone, you hear anyone!!!!!” so she followed me and said she was going to try to help. And we worked hard to clean it all up and started making the brownie batch. Then Amanda left to check her mail on her computer. And when the brownies were done, I put some chocolate chips on it and shereded coconut. The recipe is:
Chocolate Chip Brownies
Yields – 24 brownies
3/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
3 tsps. vanilla
4 eggs
2/3 cup cake/pastry flour
1/2 cup baking cocoa
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 cup chocolate chips
Heat oven to 350ºF. Grease bottom and sides 9×13 inch baking pan. Mix sugars, coconut oil, vanilla and eggs in medium bowl. Mix flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt in separate bowl. Add the flour mixture in gradually, mixing until smooth after each addition. Spread batter in pan, and sprinkle with chopped pecans and chocolate chips. Bake 30-35 minutes or until toothpick or cake-tester inserted in center comes out clean. Serve with cold milk after they’ve cooled.
I was very much pleased with myself, when I saw that only now I had to put in the flour, my sister dear Amanda came in and said, kindly “How much flour did you put in?”, I said “Two cups.” She said “Um that only says too put in 2/3 cups of flour in! Hahahahaa” Here I had cleaned the whole kitchen so that I could make them, and they weren’t even going to turn out. I went with a such a sad, disappointed look on my face as I went upstairs to tell mother, but she asked me what was wrong I told her everything, she told me to go downstairs, write down all the ingredients and their measurements and we would work out how much I has over-added the flour.
What me and my mother had to do was, (I tripled the flour
. ) add in as much to of all the things that I had already put in, but we had too double it.. I was quite mad because I said that I could do it all by myself and I broke that promise! And that was what happened when I was trying to make them all by myself. So we had a LOT of brownies!! 3 pans full! Amanda even helped me make the frosting, although she knew that I put too much flour (she said so herself) so she could have more brownies, instead of asking, she played a trick!!!!!
Well, how did your baking go this week??? Haha. Have a nice day! Love and Blessings to all and have some Shalom to!!
Prayers and Blessings as always,

P.S. This is when we were in the States
