Saturday Psalm & Praise – Unto Thee O Lord!

For the past few months I have really enjoyed getting to know and reacquaint myself with old friends and family members through my Facebook ! This past week a friend from school asked for prayer.  Even though I don’t know the circumstances she is going through right now or the reasons she needs prayer, I know God our Heavenly Father knows every detail!  I like to add scripture to my FBook wall and the other day this same friend said she enjoyed reading the scripture and told me that a certain scripture really touched her heart!  That passage is below from Psalm 25.

Psalm 25

1 Unto thee, O LORD, do I lift up my soul. 2 O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me.3 Yea, let none that wait on thee be ashamed: let them be ashamed which transgress without cause.4 Shew me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths.5 Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day. 6 Remember, O LORD, thy tender mercies and thy lovingkindnesses; for they have been ever of old. 7 Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions: according to thy mercy remember thou me for thy goodness’ sake, O LORD. 8 Good and upright is the LORD: therefore will he teach sinners in the way. 9 The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way. 10 All the paths of the LORD are mercy and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies. 11 For thy name’s sake, O LORD, pardon mine iniquity; for it is great. 12 What man is he that feareth the LORD? him shall he teach in the way that he shall choose. 13 His soul shall dwell at ease; and his seed shall inherit the earth. 14 The secret of the LORD is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant. 15 Mine eyes are ever toward the LORD; for he shall pluck my feet out of the net.  16 Turn thee unto me, and have mercy upon me; for I am desolate and afflicted.  17 The troubles of my heart are enlarged: O bring thou me out of my distresses. 18 Look upon mine affliction and my pain; and forgive all my sins. 19 Consider mine enemies; for they are many; and they hate me with cruel hatred. 20 O keep my soul, and deliver me: let me not be ashamed; for I put my trust in thee. 21 Let integrity and uprightness preserve me; for I wait on thee.  22 Redeem Israel, O God, out of all his troubles.

I read this passage and prayed again for my friend and I believe God is doing a work in her, drawing her closer to Him.  The first couple verses remind me of a song I learned many years ago.  Which as you can tell comes straight from scripture.

Unto Thee O Lord

Unto Thee O Lord (Unto Thee O Lord), do I lift up my soul (do I lift up my soul)

Unto Thee O Lord (Unto Thee O Lord), do I lift up my soul (do I lift up my soul)

O my God (O my God) I trust in Thee (I trust in Thee)

I will not be ashamed,  don’t let my enemies triumph over me!

That is my prayer today ~ Whatever I do….in all things, Lord I do them Unto You, for your glory that you may be exalted!  My God I put my trust in YOU!  I am NOT ashamed and my enemies will NOT triumph over me!

That is my prayer for you friends, brothers and sisters in Christ that in all things you do…do them Unto the Lord, putting your faith, your trust in HIM, not being ashamed and letting God crush your enemies!

Blessings, grace and peace to you!

Saturday Psalm & Praise – I Know Who Holds Tomorrow!

I Know

Who Holds Tomorrow

words and music by Ira Stanphill

    I don't know about tomorrow;
I just live from day to day.
I don't borrow from its sunshine
For its skies may turn to grey.
    I don't worry o'er the future,
For I know what Jesus said.
And today I'll walk beside Him,
For He knows what is ahead.

    (Chorus:)
    Many things about tomorrow
    I don't seem to understand
But I know who holds tomorrow
And I know who holds my hand.

    Every step is getting brighter
    As the golden stairs I climb;
    Every burden's getting lighter,
    Every cloud is silver-lined.
There the sun is always shining,
    There no tear will dim the eye;
At the ending of the rainbow
Where the mountains touch the sky.

    I don't know about tomorrow;
    It may bring me poverty.
But the one who feeds the sparrow,
Is the one who stands by me.
And the path that is my portion
    May be through the flame or flood;
But His presence goes before me
And I'm covered with His blood.

I am so thankful that I know the Lord; who He is what he has done for all mankind and that He has a plan. I may not know what tomorrow brings but I know, YES I know who holds tomorrow and He also holds my hand.

I have been reading in the gospels lately remembering all the Savior has done for children of God.  I have been looking into his parables and the lessons he taught his disciples.  So many things in scripture we just pass over and neglect in our daily walk.  Here is some scripture from Matthew where Jesus is telling his disciples not to worry.  I’m not sure if this scripture made me think of this song or the other way around but either way. I’m not worried about tomorrow!

Matthew 6:25-34 (King James Version)

25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? 26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? 27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? 28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: 29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? 31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? 32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. 33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. 34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

I am doing my best to seek the Lord and let God take care of the rest but it is a daily process….lets take up the cross each day and follow Him!

Blessings to you,

Saturday Psalm & Praise ~Who May Ascend~

Author: Aunt_Jen  //  Category: Saturday Psalm & Praise

.

.

As I looked through music tonight a worship song caught my eye that has brought me to my knees many times.  It reminds me of how huge God is and how very small I am.  How able God is and how much He longs for me to trust that he is ABLE!  This song comes from a portion of scripture that describes the awesome  greatness of our God!

.

Psalm 24

1 The earth is the LORD’s, and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.

2 For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods.

3 Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place?

4 He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.

5 He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.

6 This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah.

7 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.

8 Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle.

9 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.

10 Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah.

I wish I could have found this song so you could listen to it…it is beautiful!

Who May Ascend

verse 1

Who may ascend, the hill of the Lord

Who may be found in Your Holy Place

Only those who are clean and pure in their hearts

Can make it to where You are

Chorus

So do what You will, do what You want

We have decided to trust You only

And we want to be whatever You’re wanting

You are the Lord of our lives

verse 2

Who may ascend, the hill of the Lord

Who may be found in Your Holy Place

Only those who refuse to lift up their hearts

To anything else but You…

Bridge *(my favorite part)

Lord not my will but Your will, let this be my cry (4x’s)

Recently, I have been looking at things without full trusting God as my source.  Sometimes we think we are the source or our spouse, our family, our church, our friends….when there is NO OTHER source but the One true God!  He has created this earth and the fullness thereof…we are part of that fullness!  How silly for us to think that Almighty God is not in total control of His own creation.  Therefore,  I shall lift up my head unto the Lord and trust Him with all my heart for everything I have need of….He knows it all anyway!

Blessings in Him,

Saturday Psalm & Praise ~ At the Cross ~

Author: Aunt_Jen  //  Category: Saturday Psalm & Praise

.

How do I love thee Lord; let me count the ways.  I cannot bless the Lord enough for his worth.  He is worthy of reverence, honor, glory, praise…I could go on.  Yet in my own selfishness there are times I forgot to do as the scripture says.

Leviticus 19:2
Speak unto all the congregation of the children of Israel, and say unto them, Yeholy: for I the LORD your God am holy.

1 Peter 1:15-16
15 But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; 16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.

Even though I do not live holy 100% of the time does not mean I’m not striving for it!  I am so thankful there is such a man that did live HOLY 100% of the time when he walked this earth as a man.

2 Corinthians 5:21
For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

Thanks be to God that he knew we needed a Saviour!  Each one of us needs Jesus whether we are able to live life and endure the things of this earth; seemingly without a Saviour…we still need him.  We cannot see Heaven without Jesus…he is the only bridge for each of us to see our Heavenly Father.

Romans 3:23-24
23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;  24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

At The Cross

by Hillsong

Oh Lord You’ve searched me You know my way
Even when I fail You I know You love me

Your holy presence Surrounding me
In every season I know You love me I know You love me

At the cross I bow my knee where Your blood was shed for me
There’s no greater love than this
You have overcome the grave Your glory fills the highest place
What can separate me now

You go before me You shield my way
Your hand upholds me I know You love me

You tore the veil You made a way
When You said that it is done

And when the earth fades Falls from my eyes
And You stand before me I know You love me I know You love me

Lord I bow before you at the cross and thank you for your amazing sacrifice for me…for the whole world.

Saturday Psalm & Praise ~ Delight in the Lord ~

Author: Aunt_Jen  //  Category: Saturday Psalm & Praise

.

As I sit here amazed and so thankful to the Lord for His unfailing love and compassion I am in awe!

Earlier this evening I had dinner with Oralia, a friend of mine. Whenever we get together we love to talk about what the Lord has been speaking to us.  What a wonderful person she is and I’m so thankful the Lord saw fit to bring us together as friends.  She has such a deep love for the Lord and longing in her heart to read and know God’s word.  I’m blessed by YOU Lord for such friends to share with about your love and your precious mercy.

What an amazing God we serve! I have been praying today about the weather and storms moving across our country. God is faithful whether we feel his faithfulness or not. God is loving whether we feel IT or not.  He is with us all the time no matter how we feel.  Lord I think you that we can trust you in the rain or in the sunshine; in the sunlit sky or in the cloudy storm. I said this in another SP&P and I’ll say it again: there have been many times I have felt crushed under the weight of the enemy and at the moment I needed my Savior He indeed was present for my rescue.  Do you need rescuing today?  When we cry out to God He answers us.  I was reading earlier today in an email about our culture today, how we use our cell phones to call our friends, text them, even twitter them.  We do these things w/o a second thought of necessity, yet when we have a spare moment do we think to tell the Lord how gracious He is?  Do we take that 5 minutes to say, “Lord, I am amazed by your beauty in the world you have created”?  Do we pray for our loved ones?  More so,  I believe we need to exalt the Lord but we do need to share our burdens with Him as well.  Instead of NOT asking the Lord for help because we feel guilty that we haven’t spent time with him lately, spend time with him ALL the time.  Make Him the LORD over every area of your life all the time; not just those moments you THINK are in need of a Savior! I need thee every Hour Lord! Every moment! I love the song, “How Great is our God”…..and how it says, “SING WITH ME” “How great is our God”!  He is Great!  Lord You are Great!

I heard a song some years back and it blesses me whenever I sing it!  I couldn’t find it on playlist, godtube or youtube :( so I will just put the words; maybe sometime I can record it and get it to work on the playlist. It is really beautiful.

Delight In the Lord

I delight in the Lord with all my might all my heart and soul
I delight in the Lord with all my might all my heart and soul

And as I wait upon the Lord, I grow stronger
And as I wait upon the Lord, I grow stronger
And as I wait upon the Lord, I grow stronger everyday.

The word of God speaks of delighting in the Lord and also of waiting upon the Lord.  Here are some scriptures of blessing and promise I pray they give you strength as you wait upon the Lord!

Psalm 37:9
For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth.

Isaiah 40:31
But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Zephaniah 3:8
Therefore wait ye upon me, saith the LORD, until the day that I rise up to the prey: for my determination is to gather the nations, that I may assemble the kingdoms, to pour upon them mine indignation, even all my fierce anger: for all the earth shall be devoured with the fire of my jealousy.

Psalm 22:8
“He trusts in the LORD; let the LORD rescue him. Let him deliver him, since he delights in him.”

Psalm 37:4
Delight thyself also in the LORD: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

Psalm 112:1
Praise ye the LORD. Blessed is the man that feareth the LORD, that delighteth greatly in his commandments.

Lord we delight in you as we worship and praise an extraordinary Creator and Father !

Love to all as you Delight in the Lord!

Saturday Psalm & Praise ~ He is Holy ~

Author: Aunt_Jen  //  Category: Saturday Psalm & Praise

.

Lately I have been in a bit of a wonder. A wonder minded world of my own.  Well not all on my own I have been sharing my thoughts and wonder with the Lord.  Today I am in awe; awe of how small I really am and how huge God is.  The awe that makes your eyes open wide and you want to cry as you think wow, “God the Father gave His Only Son for me”!  I am quite amazed at God’s Love.  I sit here speechless, well not completely (obviously) but my mind just keeps pausing as I question why God loves us so much.  We have done nothing worthy of this Love.  We cannot earn this love.  We definitely don’t deserve this love.

Oh God, You are magnificent, amazing, I can’t even think of words that fully describe the majesty of our God!  I must say the word that has been on my mind lately is “Holy”.  A small word but there is so much to it.  As I strive for the holiness that my Savior IS, I then feel very inadequate. Praise God that we don’t “go” by our feelings.  The word of God declares “Be Ye Holy, for I am Holy” 1 Peter 1:16.

Father, You are worthy of praise not for things you’ve done, but because you are God; You are Holy!

This scripture speaks of the Holy God that I love.

Psalm 99

1 The LORD reigneth; let the people tremble: he sitteth between the cherubims; let the earth be moved.

2 The LORD is great in Zion; and he is high above all the people.

3 Let them praise thy great and terrible name; for it is holy.

4 The king’s strength also loveth judgment; thou dost establish equity, thou executest judgment and righteousness in Jacob.

5 Exalt ye the LORD our God, and worship at his footstool; for he is holy.

6 Moses and Aaron among his priests, and Samuel among them that call upon his name; they called upon the LORD, and he answered them.

7 He spake unto them in the cloudy pillar: they kept his testimonies, and the ordinance that he gave them.

8 Thou answeredst them, O LORD our God: thou wast a God that forgavest them, though thou tookest vengeance of their inventions.

9 Exalt the LORD our God, and worship at his holy hill; for the LORD our God is holy.

I had not posted about my Bible Reading Challenge by Rachel since the first week, so I wanted to add during my SP&P that I am enjoying the Book of Psalms and this post is in part due to my BRC daily journey.

I know many of you have still been praying for the Drews family and we must continue to do so.  They need prayer warriors to lift them up and stand in prayer for them.

Love to all as you Worship and Praise our Holy God!

Saturday Psalm & Praise ~ I Exalt Thee ~ Te Exaltamos

Author: Aunt_Jen  //  Category: Saturday Psalm & Praise

.

This SP&P was a little harder to ponder.  Not that I have less to praise God about but I have just been in a whirl of emotions for the sweet Drews Family.  When a child of God goes through a dark valley God is still there.  When a child of God goes through a dark valley God will hear.  When a child of God goes through a dark valley We MUST Exalt the Lord.

During my first week of the Bible Reading Challenge by Rachel God has taken me on a journey of the Psalms. I have been loving my time with Him and learning so much about His hand of grace, mercy and favor.  Many times I have felt crushed under the weight of the enemy and at the moment I needed my Savior He indeed was present for my rescue.

Psalm 30

1 I will extol thee, O LORD; for thou hast lifted me up, and hast not made my foes to rejoice over me. 2 O LORD my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me. 3 O LORD, thou hast brought up my soul from the grave: thou hast kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit. 4 Sing unto the LORD, O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness. 5 For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning. 6 And in my prosperity I said, I shall never be moved. 7 LORD, by thy favour thou hast made my mountain to stand strong: thou didst hide thy face, and I was troubled. 8 I cried to thee, O LORD; and unto the LORD I made supplication. 9 What profit is there in my blood, when I go down to the pit? Shall the dust praise thee? shall it declare thy truth? 10 Hear, O LORD, and have mercy upon me: LORD, be thou my helper. 11 Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness; 12 To the end that my glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give thanks unto thee for ever.

I Exalt Thee

For thou O Lord up high above all the earth

Thou are exalted far above all gods
For thou O Lord up high above all the earth
Thou are exalted far above all gods

I Exalt Thee, I Exalt Thee, I Exalt Thee O Lord
I Exalt Thee, I Exalt Thee, I Exalt Thee O Lord

Te Exaltamos, Te Exaltamos, Te Exaltamos O Senor
Te Exaltamos, Te Exaltamos, Te Exaltamos O Senor

We Exalt Thee, We Exalt Thee, We Exalt Thee O Lord
We Exalt Thee, We Exalt Thee, We Exalt Thee O Lord

For Thou art worthy, of all glory, Thou art worthy, O Lord
For Thou art worthy, of all glory, Thou art worthy, O Lord

This is one of those songs you worship the Lord with your heart & with your own words.

Lord I love You, Lord I love You, Lord I love You, O Lord
You’re so beautiful, You’re so beautiful, You’re so beautiful, O Lord
Thank You Jesus for your sacrifice, Thank You Jesus for all You’ve done.
I’m so grateful, I’m so grateful, I’m so grateful for all You’ve done.

Worship the LORD, Exalt Him, He is worthy of all our praise!

If you don’t know this chorus then I don’t know where you been! :) When I first gave my heart to the Lord back in “87 this became my very most precious worship song unto the Lord!

Please say a prayer for the precious Drews family go over to their blog and leave an encouraging word for them as they are living through this valley.

Love to all as you Exalt the Lord!

Saturday Psalm & Praise: I Stand In Awe

Author: Aunt_Jen  //  Category: Saturday Psalm & Praise

Today’s SP&P is special because no matter how bad I feel even if can hardly talk or hardly sing.  I can still stand in awe of my God, my Savior the one who gives me strength!  I learned this song when I first became a christian and it has always held a special place in my heart.  I recall the scripture in Ephesians 6 speaking of the armour of God it says “having done all to stand, Stand therefore… I love that the encouragement yet to keep going.  That isn’t a Psalm but it’s a great word of God!  Sorry this SP&P is kinda late I have been not feeling well the last couple days and I’m Believing His Promise to make me well!

I looked all over youtube and godtube and this is really the best quality video I could find.  It doesn’t have any background scene but I already know the words so I just listened to it and worshiped the Lord.  Hope you enjoy!

I was looking for scripture about the beauty of the Lord and this stood out to me; I want to desire the Lord the way he desires me.  The Lord is so wonderful, so beautiful I long to sit in his presence and adore him.

Psalm 27:1-8  (sorry I had forgotten to add the ref for this scripture!)

1 The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? 2 When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell. 3 Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident. 4 One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple. 5 For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock. 6 And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the LORD. 7 Hear, O LORD, when I cry with my voice: have mercy also upon me, and answer me. 8 When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, LORD, will I seek.

Blessings upon you,

Well my Saturday Psalm & Praise turned into Sunday’s :)   We went to Lubbock yesterday to fix our car since we have no VW dealer here.  Anyway, I did not want to have 2 weeks in a row that I missed writing a SP&P.  We sang this medley at church this morning and I love it!  Thank You Lord ! Saturday Psalm & Praise : Voice of Truth

Author: Aunt_Jen  //  Category: Saturday Psalm & Praise

Saturday Psalm & Praise

Well it is Saturday again and I must post. HAHA  Oh how I love to sing songs of Praise to our Awesome Lord and Savior!  This week I am going to take a bit of a turn from the traditional song for this Saturday Psalm & Praise. I really love the song “Voice of Truth” by Casting Crowns it has made an impact on my life and how my own attitude can be at times and the video really made me think and question “Am I Glorifying the Lord in everything I do?”  If I listen to the Voice of Truth and stop listening to all the other voices of the world today; God will be glorified through my life ~ Yours too if you choose to listen too :)   Watch this video and I will finish my thoughts down below. (I put the music player up on top so you can turn it off and on easier while you watch the video)

Oh what I would do to have the kind of faith it takes to climb out of this boat I’m in onto the crashing waves To step out of my comfort zone into the realm of the unknown where Jesus is and He’s holding out His hand But the waves are calling out my name and they laugh at me reminding me of all the times I’ve tried before and failed The waves they keep on telling me time and time again. “Boy, you’ll never win!” “You’ll never win!”

Chorus:
But the voice of truth tells me a different story! The voice of truth says, “Do not be afraid!”
The voice of truth says, “This is for My glory” Out of all the voices calling out to me
I will choose to listen and believe the voice of truth

Oh what I would do to have the kind of strength it takes to stand before a giant with just a sling and a stone
Surrounded by the sound of a thousand warriors shaking in their armor wishing they’d have had the strength to stand

But the giant’s calling out my name and he laughs at me reminding me of all the times I’ve tried before and failed The giant keeps on telling me time and time again. “Boy you’ll never win!” “You’ll never win!”

chorus

But the stone was just the right size to put the giant on the ground
And the waves they don’t seem so high from on top of them lookin’ down
I will soar with the wings of eagles when I stop and listen to the sound of Jesus singing over me

chorus

I will choose to listen and believe the voice of truth

Jesus said in Luke 21:8 & 9

8  And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them.  9 But when ye shall hear of wars and commotions, be not terrified: for these things must first come to pass; but the end is not by and by.

In this day and age that we live in, it is so easy to go with the flow!  Just let things alone, don’t make any waves.  Well do you remember that saying back in 2000 or so, What Would Jesus Do?  WWJD?  Well this became a huge phenomenon and I think got so outta hand with people trying to make money off of it! But what is new! My point is Jesus is our example.  Did he go with the flow…I don’t think so!

This verse says DO NOT be deceived; I am sad to see so many believers being deceived and not taking a stand by READING THE WORD OF GOD!  Praying! Witnessing! Fellowshiping with other believers to build faith among God’s people!  I’m so thankful to the Lord for the blessing of fellow believers who follow the leading of Gods spirit; listening to the voice of truth.  Lord you are worthy of praise and honor.  Thank you for walking with your people leading and guiding us!

I love how this video shows things of this world getting in our way…the problem is, we let it happen.  When God wants our Praise, wants us to Get out of the Boat, get out of our comfort zone and walk with Jesus.  God gives us power, authority to overcome evil with GOOD.  We need to listen to that voice of Truth.  The Lord deserves all our praise and for His Glory to be revealed in us.

I think of the different images in this video health, money, school, drinking, entertainment, our attitudes, faith, church.  Whatever God is calling you to do concerning each of these areas and others in your life.  We all have a choice to make…so LISTEN to the Voice of Truth, stand for the Lord, Stand up for Him; let Him be glorified in your life.  As we read His word…I believe that is so key, meditate on it, memorize it, talk to the Lord, love on Him, make Him the priority of your life.  Let your family, friends etc see Him shining through you!

Lord I thank You for Your Holy Word; I cannot live without it.  Forgive me Lord for taking Your word, for taking You for granted so many times.  Help me today to listen diligently when You call.  I want to hear Your Voice of Truth calling out to me.  I will answer and say, “Yes, Lord!”

Blessings to all In Christ Jesus,

PS. Thanks Amanda for helping me learn how to put the video on here.

Saturday Psalm & Praise: His Eye Is On the Sparrow

Saturday Psalm & Praise

Wow this week has gone by so zippety fast.  Yes I did say zippety fast..LOL  I love Saturday Psalm & Praise I love to sing and praise my Savior; I love God’s word and I don’t have to think very hard when it comes to writing a post for it!

I love the Song “His Eye Is On the Sparrow” it reminds me how precious we are to God.  He knows every hair on my head; whether curly, straight, frizzy, tangled, wet-dry, You get the pic!  He cares for me like no one else.  I can have tons of friends, loving family, an amazing husband; but NO ONE cares for me like my Savior does.  No one can pick me up when I fall like He can.  Sure we do need people in our lives and God has strategically placed people throughout our life to help us grow, mature and draw closer to Him.  He knows Your Name!  He knows when one of His sparrows fall to the ground.  He is omnicient, omnipresent, and omnipotent!  He knows all, He sees all and He is our ALL powerful God!

Psalm 145:20  The LORD preserveth all them that love him: but all the wicked will he destroy.

Psalm 1:6  But the Lord watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish.

Psalm 33:13-14 From heaven the Lord looks down and sees all mankind; from his dwelling place he watches all who live on earth.

His Eye Is On The Sparrow

Lyrics by Civilla D. Martin, 1905

 Why should I feel discouraged
Why should the shadows come
why should my heart feel lonely
and long for heaven and home
when Jesus is my portion
a constant friend is He
His eye is on the sparrow
and I know He watches over me
His eye is on the sparrow
and I know He watches over me

I sing because I’m happy
I sing because I’m free
His eye is on the sparrow
and I know He watches me
He watches me
His eye is on the sparrow
and I know He watches
I know He watches,
I know He watches me.

I sing because I’m happy
I sing because I’m free
His eye is on the the sparrow
and I know He watches me
He watches me

His eye is on the sparrow
and I know he watches me
He watches me
He watches me
I know He watches me

Other Verses

Vs2

“Let not your heart be troubled,” His tender word I hear,
And resting on His goodness, I lose my doubts and fears;
Though by the path He leadeth, but one step I may see;
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me;
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me.

Vs3

Whenever I am tempted, whenever clouds arise,
When songs give place to sighing, when hope within me dies,
I draw the closer to Him, from care He sets me free;
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me;
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me.

Psalm 121

1 I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. The LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand. The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night. The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.

We are never out of God’s reach…although at times we turn from God and wonder where He went!  Just remember He watches over you!  He will never leave you nor forsake you.  The Lord is with you wherever you go!  We must remember to allow Him to take part in every area of our lives.  He will always make life more interesting and He causes us to bring forth His love if we let Him!  Be sure to know when you lift up your eyes you will find where you help comes from….It comes from the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth!

Love in Christ; Blessings from the Savior; and Favor of the Lord be upon each of you….

Saturday Psalm & Praise : My Redeemer Lives

Author: Aunt_Jen  //  Category: Saturday Psalm & Praise

Saturday Psalm & Praise
I cannot express with adequate words the Love I have for my Savior; He is the most gracious, loving, kind, faithful, giving, friend.  See I told you….He is so much more than those words can express!  He’s my Redeemer, Counselor, Shepherd, Rock of My Salvation, Mighty Fortress, Strength, Prince of Peace, Alpha, Omega……The word of God gives us so many pictures of WHO God is; Who Jesus Is!  And yet, I still feel I haven’t scratched the surface of Who my Savior really is.  What kind of man would die for His brother?  Ok maybe there are some. What kind of man would die for His Friends? Maybe still a few who would Actually DO it!  What kind of Man would Die for those He has never met?  His name is Jesus He’s My Redeemer and He Lives!

Not really knowing Who Jesus is completely means we still have pages to read from God’s word; Prayers to pray, moments to listen and hear the voice of the one who STILL calls in the wilderness.  He’s still calling as it spoken of by the prophet Isaiah in Matthew 3:3  “Prepare ye the way of the Lord; and make His paths straight!”  How can we do that unless we read God’s word.  Learn of Him, know Him!  I am learning to be a disciple continually; in other words- I am not only a disciple of Jesus when it is conveinent or when I feel like it.  If you follow Christ it isn’t just a daily thing….it’s continual….unending….moment by moment!  Okay I’m done preaching I just Love the Lord so much!  I want to learn more and more from My God!

My Redeemer Lives

sung by Crystal Lewis

For I know my redeemer lives
And in the end He will stand on the earth
For I know my redeemer lives
And in the end He will reign on the earth

Though my flesh it be destroyed
Yet with my eyes I will see God

For I know my redeemer lives
And I will stand with Him on that day
For I know my redeemer lives
And I will stand with Him on that day

Oh my heart it yearns within me
For the day when Jesus returns
Oh my heart it yearns within me
For the day when Jesus shall reign

Though my flesh it be destroyed
Yet with my eyes I will see God

For I know that my redeemer lives
And I will stand with Him on that day
For I know that my redeemer lives
And I will stand with Him on that day

Proverbs 8:32-36

32 Now then, my sons, listen to me; blessed are those who keep my ways. 33 Listen to my instruction and be wise; do not ignore it! 34 Blessed is the man who listens to me, watching daily at my doors, waiting at my doorway. 35 For whoever finds me finds life and receives favor from the Lord. 36 But whoever fails to find me harms himself; all who hate me love death.

This passage is an awesome truth of blessing and also a warning! We can have life because Our Redeemer LIVES!

Psalm 71:15-24

15 My mouth shall shew forth thy righteousness and thy salvation all the day; for I know not the numbers thereof.  16  I will go in the strength of the Lord GOD: I will make mention of thy righteousness, even of thine only.  17  O God, thou hast taught me from my youth: and hitherto have I declared thy wondrous works.  18  Now also when I am old and greyheaded, O God, forsake me not; until I have shewed thy strength unto this generation, and thy power to every one that is to come.  19  Thy righteousness also, O God, is very high, who hast done great things: O God, who is like unto thee!  20  Thou, which hast shewed me great and sore troubles, shalt quicken me again, and shalt bring me up again from the depths of the earth.  21  Thou shalt increase my greatness, and comfort me on every side.  22  I will also praise thee with the psaltery, even thy truth, O my God: unto thee will I sing with the harp, O thou Holy One of Israel.  23  My lips shall greatly rejoice when I sing unto thee; and my soul, which thou hast redeemed.  24  My tongue also shall talk of thy righteousness all the day long: for they are confounded, for they are brought unto shame, that seek my hurt.

I had to add a scripture from Psalms, otherwise it didn’t feel right :)   This scripture speaks greatly of giving praise and adoration to our God for Who He is and because He has Redeemed us!

Blessings to the Redeemed!  & Prayers for those still searching!

Love,

Saturday Psalm & Praise: Are You Washed in the Blood?

Author: Aunt_Jen  //  Category: Saturday Psalm & Praise

Saturday Psalm & Praise

It is such a blessing to read all the blogs from my sister, nieces, nephews, my mom and friends; and I can honestly say it’s easier for me to read than post!  BUT, I cannot go a week without giving Praise to God here on my blog!  I love this hymn; we are actually singing it this Sunday morning for church.  I’m sure you know this song….but read the words through.  It means so much to me when I read a song, think about the words.  Even if I am singing the song at home or in church I want to make sure I am not just being repetious I want to PRAISE GOD!  Like I said in an earlier post….It’s All about You Jesus!

Since this is a Saturday Psalm & Praise I want to make sure I Praise HIM!  So here goes my song of Praise and also a question to all……

Are You Washed In The Blood?

Elisha A. Hoffman 1878

Verse 1

Have you been to Jesus for the cleansing power?

Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?

Are you fully trusting in His grace this hour?

Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?

Chorus

Are you washed in the blood

In the soul cleansing blood of the Lamb?

Are your garments spotless?

Are they white as snow?

Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?

Verse 2

Are you walking daily by the Savior’s side?

Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?

Do you rest each moment in the Crucified?

Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?

Verse 3

When the Bride-groom cometh will your robes be white,

Pure and white in the blood of the Lamb?

Will your souls be ready for the mansions bright?

And be washed in the blood of the Lamb?

Verse 4

Lay aside the garments that are stained with sin

And be washed in the blood of the Lamb.

There’s a fountain flowing for the soul unclean;

O be washed in the blood of the Lamb.

Did you notice anything different about the verses, or the chorus?

When you read the first 3 verses they are asking you questions as well as the chorus.  On verse 4 it says….DO IT!  Lay it aside….there’s a fountain…..DO IT!  Pleading in a way…OH Be Washed!  For our Lords sake….He did go through so much so that we could live in Freedom from this sinful world and be washed in the Blood of The Lamb.

Psalm 146:1-6

Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord, O my soul!  2  While I live I will praiser the Lord; I will sing praises to my God while I have my being.  3  Do not put your trust in princes, Nor in a  son of man in whom there is no help.  4 His spirit departs he returns to his earth; In that very day his plans perish.  5  Happy is he who has the God of Jacob for his help, Whose hope is in the Lord his God,  6  Who made heaven and earth, The sea, and all that is in them; Who keeps truth forever.

Oh What a God we have, Oh What a Savior…..so tell me…………..

Are You Washed?             I AM!    :)

Blessings to you,

Saturday Psalm & Praise

Wow, I can’t believe how many things I have to Praise God about!  I mean when you really think about it, WOW!  I could just about cry…well I am teary-eyed already. God You have blessed my life in so many ways; where and how can I even begin to imagine. This is my first Saturday Psalm & Praise and I wanted it to be a dedication to the Lord for the gift He has given me to sing and praise Him with my voice and to write songs of praise to My God.

I am sorry my post is a little later in the evening but here at my house it is actually still Saturday; technically :) .

I would like to share a song that I wrote last year it speaksof who God is and it asks the question “Who Can Compare to You, Oh God”  The answer is simple There is NO ONE; Nothing compares to You!

Who Can Compare

written by Jennifer Wallace  ©2007

(Vs 1)

I stand in awe of You; I am amazed by who You are

Lord of righteousness, You came to save a soul like me

I stand in awe of You;   I am amazed by who You are

Lord of righteousness, You came to save a soul like me

Who can compare to You…Who can compare to You…

Who can compare to You…There is no one.

Who can compare to You…Who can compare to You…

Who can compare to You…There is no one.

(Chorus)

You are my Abba Father; You are my Savior Jesus

You are my Holy Spirit; Nothing compares to You

You are the Mighty One; You are the Holy One

You are the One; that I love

(Vs 2)

I bow before You Lord; Your grace and mercy ever new

From Heaven’s throne You came; And now I come to worship You…

Nothing compares to You, nothing compares to You

Nothing compares to You, there is nothing…

Nothing compares to You, Nothing compares to You

Nothing compares no nothing compares there is nothing…nothing compares (to chorus)

(Bridge)

There is nothing, There in no one who compares with You…  repeat

I stand in awe of You; I am amazed by who You are.

Psalm 89:1-18

1 I will sing of the mercies of the LORD for ever: with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations.  2 For I have said, Mercy shall be built up for ever: thy faithfulness shalt thou establish in the very heavens.  3 I have made a covenant with my chosen, I have sworn unto David my servant,  4 Thy seed will I establish for ever, and build up thy throne to all generations. Selah.  5 And the heavens shall praise thy wonders, O LORD: thy faithfulness also in the congregation of the saints.  6 For who in the heaven can be compared unto the LORD? who among the sons of the mighty can be likened unto the LORD?  7 God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints, and to be had in reverence of all them that are about him. 8 O LORD God of hosts, who is a strong LORD like unto thee? or to thy faithfulness round about thee? 9 Thou rulest the raging of the sea: when the waves thereof arise, thou stillest them.  10 Thou hast broken Rahab in pieces, as one that is slain; thou hast scattered thine enemies with thy strong arm. 11 The heavens are thine, the earth also is thine: as for the world and the fulness thereof, thou hast founded them. 12 The north and the south thou hast created them: Tabor and Hermon shall rejoice in thy name.  13 Thou hast a mighty arm: strong is thy hand, and high is thy right hand. 14 Justice and judgment are the habitation of thy throne: mercy and truth shall go before thy face.  15 Blessed is the people that know the joyful sound: they shall walk, O LORD, in the light of thy countenance.  16 In thy name shall they rejoice all the day: and in thy righteousness shall they be exalted.  17 For thou art the glory of their strength: and in thy favour our horn shall be exalted.  18 For the LORD is our defence; and the Holy One of Israel is our king.

PRAISE BE TO GOD! We have a God that is able to do exceedingly, abundantly, above all we could ever ask, think, or even imagine!  WHO CAN COMPARE TO OUR GOD? NO ONE!
