Saturday Psalm & Praise ~ He is Holy ~

Author: Aunt_Jen  //  Category: Saturday Psalm & Praise

.

Lately I have been in a bit of a wonder. A wonder minded world of my own.  Well not all on my own I have been sharing my thoughts and wonder with the Lord.  Today I am in awe; awe of how small I really am and how huge God is.  The awe that makes your eyes open wide and you want to cry as you think wow, “God the Father gave His Only Son for me”!  I am quite amazed at God’s Love.  I sit here speechless, well not completely (obviously) but my mind just keeps pausing as I question why God loves us so much.  We have done nothing worthy of this Love.  We cannot earn this love.  We definitely don’t deserve this love.

Oh God, You are magnificent, amazing, I can’t even think of words that fully describe the majesty of our God!  I must say the word that has been on my mind lately is “Holy”.  A small word but there is so much to it.  As I strive for the holiness that my Savior IS, I then feel very inadequate. Praise God that we don’t “go” by our feelings.  The word of God declares “Be Ye Holy, for I am Holy” 1 Peter 1:16.

Father, You are worthy of praise not for things you’ve done, but because you are God; You are Holy!

This scripture speaks of the Holy God that I love.

Psalm 99

1 The LORD reigneth; let the people tremble: he sitteth between the cherubims; let the earth be moved.

2 The LORD is great in Zion; and he is high above all the people.

3 Let them praise thy great and terrible name; for it is holy.

4 The king’s strength also loveth judgment; thou dost establish equity, thou executest judgment and righteousness in Jacob.

5 Exalt ye the LORD our God, and worship at his footstool; for he is holy.

6 Moses and Aaron among his priests, and Samuel among them that call upon his name; they called upon the LORD, and he answered them.

7 He spake unto them in the cloudy pillar: they kept his testimonies, and the ordinance that he gave them.

8 Thou answeredst them, O LORD our God: thou wast a God that forgavest them, though thou tookest vengeance of their inventions.

9 Exalt the LORD our God, and worship at his holy hill; for the LORD our God is holy.

I had not posted about my Bible Reading Challenge by Rachel since the first week, so I wanted to add during my SP&P that I am enjoying the Book of Psalms and this post is in part due to my BRC daily journey.

I know many of you have still been praying for the Drews family and we must continue to do so.  They need prayer warriors to lift them up and stand in prayer for them.

Love to all as you Worship and Praise our Holy God!

Happy Anniversary Adrian and Jen!!

Author: Jacque  //  Category: Family, My Sweetie and Me, Prayers and Praise

It is with great love and honour I write this! Of course, I am 1/2 a day late (but you all know that is just me, don’t you!! LOL)

I want to say Happy Anniversary to two very sweet and special people to me. I can’t believe it has already been 9 years, can you??

Adrian and Jennifer are a sweet picture of husband and wife and an inspiration of love in marriage. Adrian and Jennifer were such good friends in high school and God brought them together for His purpose in marriage, even though I think they least expected it. Unfortunately I did not get to be around them as a couple - um… hardly ever! And not before they were married. I didn’t get to go to their wedding (and yes, I regret that now!) Besides, I never did get a wedding picture! So, you will have to put one on her Jen.

I sure wish I could be there today with you all. I would love to go out to dinner, just you both and Matt and me. (Grandma could watch the Littles with the big girls!)

We were blessed to be able to spend time with Adrian and Jen in June in Las Cruces and also at their home. It was such a great time, and we will never forget it.

We love you both, and we hope today will be so very blessed for you both!!

LOVE and HUGS!!

Jacque Sig

I added a few pics from our special day!

Simple Woman’s Daybook #3

Author: Aunt_Jen  //  Category: Simple Woman's Daybook

FOR TODAY: September 1, 2008

Outside my window…much road and desert!

I am thinking…I am working on a NEW ATTITUDE!

I am thankful…that God is the center of my life!

From the Kitchen…Well since I was in Las Cruces today the only kitchen I saw was my MIL’s and she made some amazing caldillo and meat w/potatoes for burritos…mmmmmm she is an awesome cook!

I am wearing…a pink striped shirt and my black gouchos.

I am creating…an excell spread sheet for my daily to do list that I have on paper!

I am going…back home to Hobbs with my hubby and a sweet little chihuahua puppy for a friend.

I am reading…in the book Psalms.

I am hoping…I can accomplish more this week with my new daily to do chart!

I am hearing…a sermon by Lindell Cooley from Grace Church in Tennessee on a Podcast.

Around the house…
My doggies and kitty are sure waiting for us to arrive at home!

One of my favorite things…
Spending time with family.  Our quick trip to Cruces was WAY too short; but I am thankful I got to spend time with my inlaws and my mama!  Wishing I coulda been in INDIANA :(

A few plans for the Rest of the Week: Doing some laundry and anything and everything on my to do list!

Here is a picture thought I am sharing:

This picture was taken yesterday while we were on our way to Las Cruces, NM.  I know it’s not the best pic but I wish I could show you what I actually saw.  This pic of the Guadalupe Mountains which is in Texas between Carlsbad, NM and El Paso, TX caught my eye like never before.  My husband and I have been through these mountains at least 25 times in the past 3+ years and I have NEVER seen this figure I saw on Sunday.  To me it looks like the face of a child, a little girl… as I said we have been though this area so many times and have never noticed or seen it look so vividly like an image.  One thing that has brought to my mind is concerning the bible; so many times I have looked though the scriptures and not heard or noticed anything that opened my eyes which I think is sad considering the word of God is LIFE!  As we traveled down the road on Sunday I remember telling my hubby wow, look at the clouds aren’t they amazing!  I love to look at them and in some places it was stormy looking and I even said out loud I wonder what it’s like up in that cloud.  I mention that to say this, my mind was totally “fixed” on nature what was going on outside and everywhere I looked I noticed something I hadn’t noticed before. I believe that is why I saw an image on the mountain; which I will look for next time we pass that way :)  So as for the bible I plan on purposing  to notice each and every part so that God can show me whatever image He has for my life in that moment.  Ask God what He wants to show you today!

Saturday Psalm & Praise ~ I Exalt Thee ~ Te Exaltamos

Author: Aunt_Jen  //  Category: Saturday Psalm & Praise

.

This SP&P was a little harder to ponder.  Not that I have less to praise God about but I have just been in a whirl of emotions for the sweet Drews Family.  When a child of God goes through a dark valley God is still there.  When a child of God goes through a dark valley God will hear.  When a child of God goes through a dark valley We MUST Exalt the Lord.

During my first week of the Bible Reading Challenge by Rachel God has taken me on a journey of the Psalms. I have been loving my time with Him and learning so much about His hand of grace, mercy and favor.  Many times I have felt crushed under the weight of the enemy and at the moment I needed my Savior He indeed was present for my rescue.

Psalm 30

1 I will extol thee, O LORD; for thou hast lifted me up, and hast not made my foes to rejoice over me. 2 O LORD my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me. 3 O LORD, thou hast brought up my soul from the grave: thou hast kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit. 4 Sing unto the LORD, O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness. 5 For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning. 6 And in my prosperity I said, I shall never be moved. 7 LORD, by thy favour thou hast made my mountain to stand strong: thou didst hide thy face, and I was troubled. 8 I cried to thee, O LORD; and unto the LORD I made supplication. 9 What profit is there in my blood, when I go down to the pit? Shall the dust praise thee? shall it declare thy truth? 10 Hear, O LORD, and have mercy upon me: LORD, be thou my helper. 11 Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness; 12 To the end that my glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give thanks unto thee for ever.

I Exalt Thee

For thou O Lord up high above all the earth

Thou are exalted far above all gods
For thou O Lord up high above all the earth
Thou are exalted far above all gods

I Exalt Thee, I Exalt Thee, I Exalt Thee O Lord
I Exalt Thee, I Exalt Thee, I Exalt Thee O Lord

Te Exaltamos, Te Exaltamos, Te Exaltamos O Senor
Te Exaltamos, Te Exaltamos, Te Exaltamos O Senor

We Exalt Thee, We Exalt Thee, We Exalt Thee O Lord
We Exalt Thee, We Exalt Thee, We Exalt Thee O Lord

For Thou art worthy, of all glory, Thou art worthy, O Lord
For Thou art worthy, of all glory, Thou art worthy, O Lord

This is one of those songs you worship the Lord with your heart & with your own words.

Lord I love You, Lord I love You, Lord I love You, O Lord
You’re so beautiful, You’re so beautiful, You’re so beautiful, O Lord
Thank You Jesus for your sacrifice, Thank You Jesus for all You’ve done.
I’m so grateful, I’m so grateful, I’m so grateful for all You’ve done.

Worship the LORD, Exalt Him, He is worthy of all our praise!

If you don’t know this chorus then I don’t know where you been! :) When I first gave my heart to the Lord back in “87 this became my very most precious worship song unto the Lord!

Please say a prayer for the precious Drews family go over to their blog and leave an encouraging word for them as they are living through this valley.

Love to all as you Exalt the Lord!

Saturday Psalm & Praise: I Stand In Awe

Author: Aunt_Jen  //  Category: Saturday Psalm & Praise

Today’s SP&P is special because no matter how bad I feel even if can hardly talk or hardly sing.  I can still stand in awe of my God, my Savior the one who gives me strength!  I learned this song when I first became a christian and it has always held a special place in my heart.  I recall the scripture in Ephesians 6 speaking of the armour of God it says “having done all to stand, Stand therefore… I love that the encouragement yet to keep going.  That isn’t a Psalm but it’s a great word of God!  Sorry this SP&P is kinda late I have been not feeling well the last couple days and I’m Believing His Promise to make me well!

I looked all over youtube and godtube and this is really the best quality video I could find.  It doesn’t have any background scene but I already know the words so I just listened to it and worshiped the Lord.  Hope you enjoy!

I was looking for scripture about the beauty of the Lord and this stood out to me; I want to desire the Lord the way he desires me.  The Lord is so wonderful, so beautiful I long to sit in his presence and adore him.

Psalm 27:1-8  (sorry I had forgotten to add the ref for this scripture!)

1 The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? 2 When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell. 3 Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident. 4 One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple. 5 For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock. 6 And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the LORD. 7 Hear, O LORD, when I cry with my voice: have mercy also upon me, and answer me. 8 When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, LORD, will I seek.

Blessings upon you,

Bible Reading Challenge #1

Author: Aunt_Jen  //  Category: Bible Reading Challenge

I have joined the Bible Reading Challenge meme!  I am very excited.  This is hosted by my sweet niece Rachel at A City on a Hill.  I have a daily bible-Reading guide which I am using but I want to let the Holy Spirit be my guide :) so whatever the Lord lays on my heart I will read.  I think this is a wonderful idea that Rachel thought of and I’m so glad to join and YOU should join too!

About 4 or 5 months ago our Pastor challenged us to daily reading and prayer which was only about 15min of time with God.  I took that challenge as well and at times it has been very challenging!  What is so difficult about spending time with God?  Well, I think so many things get in the way (and we let them)!  Whether it be TV, computers, friends, sports, even family.  When you don’t make time your time will get away from you and before you know it, those things that are important to your spiritual life didn’t get accomplished.  It’s not as if there is something wrong with friends, sports, family, computers or the TV…well most things on TV aren’t that GREAT :) but when you don’t balance your life it shows in your actions, your attitudes and in general your life.

This past weekend my hubby and I went to Las Cruces, NM to see family, friends etc.  I must admit I didn’t make time for my prayer and bible reading.  I made time to visit people and check my blog online.  I even brought my bible with me; alot of good it does in my purse if I don’t read it~!  When I got home I was really whiney and not altogether that nice.  I even got ugly at one point.  The Holy Spirit gently showed me my error.  Thank you Lord.  I know I’m not perfect but I want to be, I strive to be perfect unto the Lord through the power of His resurrection.  So, I must make sure I don’t neglect the most important part of my daily diet= my daily bread and conversation with my Savior!

I read in Psalms today…..I am still reading actually but I got so excited to blog I will finish reading after I blog about the 1st chapter I read.

Psalm 107

Wow, I don’t think I have ever read this chapter with the same open heart as I did today!  I really heard the Lord with my heart!  Over and over in this chapter David says “Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!”  The bible says David was a man after God’s own heart!  I can only imagine God’s heart longs for us to do exactly this……Praise him for his goodness and for all he does for his children!

verses 1-14

1 O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever. 2 Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy; 3 And gathered them out of the lands, from the east, and from the west, from the north, and from the south. 4 They wandered in the wilderness in a solitary way; they found no city to dwell in. 5 Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them. 6 Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their distresses. 7 And he led them forth by the right way, that they might go to a city of habitation. 8 Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men! 9 For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness. 10 Such as sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, being bound in affliction and iron; 11 Because they rebelled against the words of God, and contemned the counsel of the most High: 12 Therefore he brought down their heart with labour; they fell down, and there was none to help. 13 Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and he saved them out of their distresses. 14 He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and brake their bands in sunder.

Oh beloved he longs to lift us out of bondage, out of trouble, and despair.  If you keep reading the chapter you will find.  The Lord will only come when we ask him and decide to follow his commands, his word~

What a loving God we serve~ Thanks be to God who saves us~ Praise you Oh Lord for your goodness and your wonderful works to your children~

Blessings,

FOR TODAY: August 18, 2008

Outside my window…my greenish lawn with a cherry tree very much needing pruning :)

I am thinking…of how wonderful it will be to have family living close by.

I am thankful…for my sweet husband who loves me unconditionally.

From the Kitchen…I see clean sinks, counter tops, table and I am thankful again for God calling me Home!

I am wearing…one of my very comfortable dresses from years ago.

I am creating…a daily to do list so I can get more accomplished.

I am going…to get ready to make lunch for my hubby!

I am reading…about Babylon in Jeremiah.

I am hoping…to get some new ideas for my music lesson today!

I am hearing…music from my playlist on myspace.

Around the house…
I have a laundry basket ready to be sorted and put in the washer, lunch meat ready for sandwich making, dogs and a cat that are resting.

One of my favorite things…
is writing songs to the Lord. Sometimes I wish I carried around a recorder so I could remember all the songs God gives me; then I remember they are for Him anyway and if He wants me to remember them He’ll remind me!

A few plans for the Rest of the Week: Getting my schedule finished, using our weed eater to edge the lawn, and get back to working on the garage.

Here is a picture thought I am sharing:

God has blessed my husband with the ability to play the piano; he is utterly amazing!  I am going to be taking lessons with his students.  I have wanted to play for so long…I am excited.

Saturday Psalm & Praise - Medley

Author: Aunt_Jen  //  Category: Saturday Psalm & Praise

Well my Saturday Psalm & Praise turned into Sunday’s :)  We went to Lubbock yesterday to fix our car since we have no VW dealer here.  Anyway, I did not want to have 2 weeks in a row that I missed writing a SP&P.  We sang this medley at church this morning and I love it!  Thank You Lord ! I love YOU….You are so good to me, You have done so much for me and the cross itself was enough; but I’m so thankful you still take care of me today!  Your word is life and I cannot live without it!

My Jesus I Love Thee/You Are So Good to Me (Medley)

Verse 1
My Jesus I love Thee I know Thou art mine
For Thee all the follies of sin I resign
My gracious Redeemer my Savior art Thou
If ever I loved Thee my Jesus ’tis now

(You Are So Good to Me)

You are so good to me
You heal my broken heart
You are my Father in heaven (2X)

Chorus
You are beautiful my sweet sweet song
You are beautiful my sweet sweet song
You are beautiful my sweet sweet song

And I will sing again

Verse 2
I love Thee because Thou hast first loved me
And purchased my pardon on Calvary’s tree
I love Thee for wearing the thorns on Thy brow
If ever I loved Thee my Jesus ’tis now

(You Are So Good to Me )

You poured out all Your blood
You died upon the cross
You are my Jesus who loves me (2X)

Chorus

You are beautiful my sweet sweet song
You are beautiful my sweet sweet song
You are beautiful my sweet sweet song
And I will sing again

Ending

My Jesus I love Thee I know Thou art mine

From Psalm 18:1-3

1.  I love you, Lord; you are my strength.   2. The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my savior; my God is my rock, in whom I find protection.  He is my shield, the strength of my salvation, and my stronghold.   3.  I will call on the Lord, who is worthy of praise, for he saves me from my enemies.

Thank you for joining me, sorry my SP&P was a little tardy this week. I hope you also enjoy the trailer for the upcoming movie ~ Fireproof~ I can’t wait to see it!

Please Pray for these Needs…..

Author: Aunt_Jen  //  Category: Prayers and Praise
I have some prayer requests I would like to share.
Please pray for my mom ~ she fell last week and hit her head… she has a black eye and her head still hurts.
Please pray for my husband Adrian ~ He was in the ER Saturday all day while I was out of town.  :(  He had 2 Kidney stones, one was only 3mm (which he passed) but the other one is 13mm and they said he would have to have surgery.  I have been praying and asking all to pray that this large stone would just dissolve and they won’t have to do surgery.
Well, he went to the Dr. today and they said… that type of stone you have is one that we can give you medication for and it will just DISSOLVE…HA>..Praise God…Lord I thank you for your answer to prayer ahead of time!…Prayer and an Answer already, Hallelujah!
My other prayer request is for our dear Pastor’s son.  Our pastor took Adrian to the ER while I was gone and took care of him for me and everything. His whole family is always very kind toward us and we love them so much!
His son Theron is 15 years old and has been diagnosed with a neurological disorder since last November 07.  One day in Nov. he had complete memory loss while he was at school.  After that each day when he would wake up he didn’t know who his family was or anyone else for that matter.  He only knew what people did or things they had said in the past…but he couldn’t tell you what their name was.  Well,  he actually did know one person…His swimming coach…and he would call him coach- Which is His Dad…our Pastor~
Since then, in Feb 08 Theron went blind almost over night.  He had been having waves of blurriness and in the past month he has had black outs here and there….mostly black now. Today Aug 5 he was at swimming practice and when he dove in his dad knew something was wrong…immediately Theron was unable to move his lower body.  When they took him in to the trainer she told them that this was not muscular but neurological.
Theron is one of the sweetest young people I know.  He has an amazing outlook even with all he has been through in the past 10 months.  He knows God has purpose in what he is doing and he has been taking each one of these occurances with tremendous stride.
Theron has actually been looked at for the Olympic Games for 2012 his times are amazing even since he has been blind.  Tomorrow they are planning to take Theron to Austin to see his Dr.  This Dr. believes all of this is due to innoculations Theron had back in late October 07.  He had the Flu shot and something else and about 2 1/2 weeks later he lost his memory.
I thank God that Theron does have quite a bit of his memory back now; which the Dr.’s in El Paso and in Minn. said he would not regain!  I know God can work through this and I ask you to pray for this sweet sweet young man.

As you pray…Remember this..according to Ephesians 3:20
My God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we are able to ask think or even imagine!

Blessings upon you,

http://i301.photobucket.com/albums/nn63/sillydreamer91/sigs/ajsig1-1.png

UPDATE!!! I received a call from Pastor Shawn at 8:30am this morning!  He said when Theron got up he was able to stand on his legs and move them slightly! All Praise be to God….Please Keep those prayers coming!

UPDATE!!! #2  8/8/08 ~

I talked with Pastor today and he said Theron is doing excellent…he is walking and he even went to swim practice today and swam almost 3 miles!  Praise God! They believe this episode was related to the fact that he ran out of his medication that fights the virus.

Thank you Lord, We know you are always watching over us. Pastor Shawn said he would also try to stop by and leave a comment.  I know they are so thankful for every prayer ~

UPDATE!!! #3   08/15/08 ~
I recently received an email from a friend of mine that I hadn’t talked to in quite some time.  Her name is Jane; She let me know she just found out she is in the early stages of breast cancer.  I put her on our church prayer list last week and I am expecting an awesome report soon.  Please add her to your prayers she is a sweet woman with a husband and 3 children.  We are believing for God’s healing~Our prayers are sent up for you Jane!

UPDATE!!! #4 08/28/08 ~

The Drews Family needs our prayers their dear 3 1/2 year old son, Christian went to be with Jesus. Please pray for them; visit their blog and leave a comforting word.

This is my business….

Author: Aunt_Jen  //  Category: It's A God Thang!

Okay so I didn’t have a really tricky title for this blog.  My niece Amanda aka superangel has been on my case; well so has my sister (her mother) Jacque aka Walking Therein about blogging more…come to think of it so has Jocelyn aka A Pondering Heart.  Wow I sure have some pushy blog family!  It’s not really fair for me to leave out my dear sweet momma Judi aka Starr Salon.  I think they have been the ones to push me to blog more…my niece Rachel aka Milk and Honey Tea Room has only been suggestive for the most part :)  Anyway enough of me pushing the blame; haha as if there is really any blame to push.

I have decided to write a post about “My Business”.  You may already have thoughts as to what may be behind the title of this post.  Are you curious?  All of those named above do indeed know what business I am referring to.  I have a confession to make though,  this is really not my business!  I may order product, sell product, give away product (oh boy :P); and yet it’s not my business.

The truth is about 7 or so years ago, my husband and I moved to a small town in Colorado. My husband was answering the call to the Lord’s ministry as a Worship Pastor and this was our first adventure into full time ministry.  The ministry we served in there is a whole nother post people!  Praise God!

I soon found out once we were moved in that the people there were very sweet.  The town itself was really ver quaint and I loved meeting/befriending all the people.  I believe God had been training me up for years to make me that way; with the love of people.

When I was younger around my teenage years I was somewhat shy…( I am not kidding) and it was difficult to really stretch myself and meet new people; at that time God grew me and showed me when I was not being open and friendly.  Gently, and lovingly God used me back then to bring others to him through a business that I felt He wanted me to start.  That business was Mary Kay Cosmetics.  Hasn’t everyone sold Mary Kay? oh btw that is NOT “MY Business” oh and we’ve already learned that it’s not MY Business anyway!  When I began Mary Kay, wow I think I was just out of High School …probably around 20 years old.  I felt the Lord leading me to connect to other women, my age and younger mostly.  It ended up that most of my clients were all ages, but I felt God calling me to minister through this business.  I don’t refer to Mary Kay as My Business because I truly prayed for God to be the Lord over it.  It was His business.  Now let me stop right here, cuz I really feel like people now a days think everything is their on stinking business….am I right?  Guess what brothers and sisters if you are HIS then YOUR business isn’t YOURS….You gave it to Him when you took upon His name and His identity.  Thank You Lord!  Aren’t you so blessed to know that You are HIS.

Okay, so this is the whole reason I didn’t want to blog, my writing skills are right out the window.  But since I am writing….about my business on my blog I must realize that everything in my life is included in whatsoever…whatsoever meaning…whatsoever is mine is actually HIS my saviors, I belong to Jesus and all I have belongs to Him.  See it’s really rather simple when you stop and think about it.  The problem is…in todays world we just don’t want to think about it!  So this blog is UNTO the LORD.  Help me Lord to proof read this and make it all You want it to be!

So back to my earlier thought about the Mary Kay business God lead me to.  He had given me a task to befriend women and allow Him to work through me as a part of ministry.  As I had Mary Kay Classes I began to build friendships and allow God to use me every step of the way.  After I moved to Colorado I felt there was a change coming.  I learned that in the new church we came to be Worship Pastors at there were already 2 other women selling Mary Kay.  I spoke to them and we all got along very well; but the church was rather small for 3 bold Mary Kay Cosmetic sellers…even though we all had the “go give spirit”. In Mary Kay having the “go give spirit” meant your attitude would be toward other Consultants just like the bibles says preferring one another over yourself.  So even though we were all willing to share this small community I felt God had something different in mind for me plus I had been a consultant for over six years by then.

Through my Mary Kay era God showed me how women today have been given the wrong impression of beauty.  Which is why I absolutely love my niece Jocelyn’s new blog at www.feelinfeminine.com.  This blog site is already changing lives; and I have no doubt God will use it and those associated with it for His Glory.

Since this worlds impression of beauty is so distorted God impressed upon me how I could show the beauty of the Lord to the women He put in my life through this business.  I feel I did listen to the Lord and was able to show many women how beautiful they were not just on the outside but the beauty that God has created in each one of them.

After I had been in Colorado for about 4 months I knew where God was leading me to start His Business :) I had looked at a few opportunities and still worked the regular 9-5 job but I knew there was something else He had planned.  An opportunity for not only ministry but relaxation, enjoyment and the ability to fellowship without feeling like there had to be a 3 part sermon bible study going on.  Once again I felt God showing me an amazing example of how we as women look at our worth in a distorted way.  God lead me to begin a business with Home Interiors helping women to enjoy their homes.  It is amazing to me how different my outlook on life has really changed just in the past 2 or 3 years.  I have been around a spirit of money, greed and “gotta have it” attitude!  Which honestly I am not used to. I am very thankful that I grew up in a family where wealth was not of huge importance.  I mean it’s not like we ate off the floor or anything…except for the 5 sec rule of course :)  I just mean we had what we needed not a whole lot more and we always had enough.  If we didn’t have enough I never knew about it.  I never felt jipped.  So as I got married I carried those thoughts into my marriage; which you know my hubby didn’t grow up exactly the same cuz God just doesn’at work that way… no He has to make us different!  We are not that much different on that subject though.  My husband is the most giving man I know, honestly…well next to Jesus that is :).

I sure hope you all are still reading, I feel like I shoulda made a part 2 so you don’t fall asleep or decide to click on one of the sidebar links before I finish.  Anyhoo, the Home Interiors business that God and I are working together is a lot of fun.  I have had parties, open houses, shows, booths, Fundraisers, and I have been blessed, blessed, blessed.  Is it a huge money maker for me?  Honestly, I am not in it for the money.  If I was I wouldn’t be able to really call myself a stay at home wife now would I?  HAHA  I am in it for the fellowship and the ability to serve my God in the way He has called me.  I am able to give women a sense of desire to Love being in their home.  I have learned that with just a few suggestions sometimes adding a picture here even just a candle in this room.  Sometimes it takes going over to their house and teaching them how to clean it up!  Whatever God wants me to do, I say “Lord here I am send me”.  Oh and He does!  Sometimes, he sends me right into my own kitchen to get the dishes done but either way…I will go!

So for now I will go and leave you with some exciting news I just started my own Home Interiors Website you can check it out for yourself!  I am also very excited the Lord has given me opportunity to help my sister’s family with a fundraiser through Home Interiors Fundraising Program to help them get supplies, computers, books or whatever they need this year for Homeschooling.  Please check out this link to for Dixon Christian Academy’s Fundraiser :).  You can also look at products for the fundraiser on my website.

I thank you for reading and pray God has blessed you in some way as you read.  I pray for you the fragrance of Christ as you be about the Master’s Business.

Ephesians 3:19-21

19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.  20Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,  21Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

Saturday Psalm & Praise : Voice of Truth

Saturday Psalm & Praise

Well it is Saturday again and I must post. HAHA  Oh how I love to sing songs of Praise to our Awesome Lord and Savior!  This week I am going to take a bit of a turn from the traditional song for this Saturday Psalm & Praise. I really love the song “Voice of Truth” by Casting Crowns it has made an impact on my life and how my own attitude can be at times and the video really made me think and question “Am I Glorifying the Lord in everything I do?”  If I listen to the Voice of Truth and stop listening to all the other voices of the world today; God will be glorified through my life ~ Yours too if you choose to listen too :)  Watch this video and I will finish my thoughts down below. (I put the music player up on top so you can turn it off and on easier while you watch the video)

Oh what I would do to have the kind of faith it takes to climb out of this boat I’m in onto the crashing waves To step out of my comfort zone into the realm of the unknown where Jesus is and He’s holding out His hand But the waves are calling out my name and they laugh at me reminding me of all the times I’ve tried before and failed The waves they keep on telling me time and time again. “Boy, you’ll never win!” “You’ll never win!”

Chorus:
But the voice of truth tells me a different story! The voice of truth says, “Do not be afraid!”
The voice of truth says, “This is for My glory” Out of all the voices calling out to me
I will choose to listen and believe the voice of truth

Oh what I would do to have the kind of strength it takes to stand before a giant with just a sling and a stone
Surrounded by the sound of a thousand warriors shaking in their armor wishing they’d have had the strength to stand

But the giant’s calling out my name and he laughs at me reminding me of all the times I’ve tried before and failed The giant keeps on telling me time and time again. “Boy you’ll never win!” “You’ll never win!”

chorus

But the stone was just the right size to put the giant on the ground
And the waves they don’t seem so high from on top of them lookin’ down
I will soar with the wings of eagles when I stop and listen to the sound of Jesus singing over me

chorus

I will choose to listen and believe the voice of truth

Jesus said in Luke 21:8 & 9

8  And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them.  9 But when ye shall hear of wars and commotions, be not terrified: for these things must first come to pass; but the end is not by and by.

In this day and age that we live in, it is so easy to go with the flow!  Just let things alone, don’t make any waves.  Well do you remember that saying back in 2000 or so, What Would Jesus Do?  WWJD?  Well this became a huge phenomenon and I think got so outta hand with people trying to make money off of it! But what is new! My point is Jesus is our example.  Did he go with the flow…I don’t think so!

This verse says DO NOT be deceived; I am sad to see so many believers being deceived and not taking a stand by READING THE WORD OF GOD!  Praying! Witnessing! Fellowshiping with other believers to build faith among God’s people!  I’m so thankful to the Lord for the blessing of fellow believers who follow the leading of Gods spirit; listening to the voice of truth.  Lord you are worthy of praise and honor.  Thank you for walking with your people leading and guiding us!

I love how this video shows things of this world getting in our way…the problem is, we let it happen.  When God wants our Praise, wants us to Get out of the Boat, get out of our comfort zone and walk with Jesus.  God gives us power, authority to overcome evil with GOOD.  We need to listen to that voice of Truth.  The Lord deserves all our praise and for His Glory to be revealed in us.

I think of the different images in this video health, money, school, drinking, entertainment, our attitudes, faith, church.  Whatever God is calling you to do concerning each of these areas and others in your life.  We all have a choice to make…so LISTEN to the Voice of Truth, stand for the Lord, Stand up for Him; let Him be glorified in your life.  As we read His word…I believe that is so key, meditate on it, memorize it, talk to the Lord, love on Him, make Him the priority of your life.  Let your family, friends etc see Him shining through you!

Lord I thank You for Your Holy Word; I cannot live without it.  Forgive me Lord for taking Your word, for taking You for granted so many times.  Help me today to listen diligently when You call.  I want to hear Your Voice of Truth calling out to me.  I will answer and say, “Yes, Lord!”

Blessings to all In Christ Jesus,

PS. Thanks Amanda for helping me learn how to put the video on here.

Saturday Psalm & Praise: His Eye Is On the Sparrow

Saturday Psalm & Praise

Wow this week has gone by so zippety fast.  Yes I did say zippety fast..LOL  I love Saturday Psalm & Praise I love to sing and praise my Savior; I love God’s word and I don’t have to think very hard when it comes to writing a post for it!

I love the Song “His Eye Is On the Sparrow” it reminds me how precious we are to God.  He knows every hair on my head; whether curly, straight, frizzy, tangled, wet-dry, You get the pic!  He cares for me like no one else.  I can have tons of friends, loving family, an amazing husband; but NO ONE cares for me like my Savior does.  No one can pick me up when I fall like He can.  Sure we do need people in our lives and God has strategically placed people throughout our life to help us grow, mature and draw closer to Him.  He knows Your Name!  He knows when one of His sparrows fall to the ground.  He is omnicient, omnipresent, and omnipotent!  He knows all, He sees all and He is our ALL powerful God!

Psalm 145:20  The LORD preserveth all them that love him: but all the wicked will he destroy.

Psalm 1:6  But the Lord watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish.

Psalm 33:13-14 From heaven the Lord looks down and sees all mankind; from his dwelling place he watches all who live on earth.

His Eye Is On The Sparrow

Lyrics by Civilla D. Martin, 1905

 Why should I feel discouraged
Why should the shadows come
why should my heart feel lonely
and long for heaven and home
when Jesus is my portion
a constant friend is He
His eye is on the sparrow
and I know He watches over me
His eye is on the sparrow
and I know He watches over me

I sing because I’m happy
I sing because I’m free
His eye is on the sparrow
and I know He watches me
He watches me
His eye is on the sparrow
and I know He watches
I know He watches,
I know He watches me.

I sing because I’m happy
I sing because I’m free
His eye is on the the sparrow
and I know He watches me
He watches me

His eye is on the sparrow
and I know he watches me
He watches me
He watches me
I know He watches me

Other Verses

Vs2

“Let not your heart be troubled,” His tender word I hear,
And resting on His goodness, I lose my doubts and fears;
Though by the path He leadeth, but one step I may see;
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me;
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me.

Vs3

Whenever I am tempted, whenever clouds arise,
When songs give place to sighing, when hope within me dies,
I draw the closer to Him, from care He sets me free;
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me;
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me.

Psalm 121

1 I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. The LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand. The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night. The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.

We are never out of God’s reach…although at times we turn from God and wonder where He went!  Just remember He watches over you!  He will never leave you nor forsake you.  The Lord is with you wherever you go!  We must remember to allow Him to take part in every area of our lives.  He will always make life more interesting and He causes us to bring forth His love if we let Him!  Be sure to know when you lift up your eyes you will find where you help comes from….It comes from the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth!

Love in Christ; Blessings from the Savior; and Favor of the Lord be upon each of you….

Saturday Psalm & Praise : My Redeemer Lives

Author: Aunt_Jen  //  Category: Saturday Psalm & Praise

Saturday Psalm & Praise
I cannot express with adequate words the Love I have for my Savior; He is the most gracious, loving, kind, faithful, giving, friend.  See I told you….He is so much more than those words can express!  He’s my Redeemer, Counselor, Shepherd, Rock of My Salvation, Mighty Fortress, Strength, Prince of Peace, Alpha, Omega……The word of God gives us so many pictures of WHO God is; Who Jesus Is!  And yet, I still feel I haven’t scratched the surface of Who my Savior really is.  What kind of man would die for His brother?  Ok maybe there are some. What kind of man would die for His Friends? Maybe still a few who would Actually DO it!  What kind of Man would Die for those He has never met?  His name is Jesus He’s My Redeemer and He Lives!

Not really knowing Who Jesus is completely means we still have pages to read from God’s word; Prayers to pray, moments to listen and hear the voice of the one who STILL calls in the wilderness.  He’s still calling as it spoken of by the prophet Isaiah in Matthew 3:3  “Prepare ye the way of the Lord; and make His paths straight!”  How can we do that unless we read God’s word.  Learn of Him, know Him!  I am learning to be a disciple continually; in other words- I am not only a disciple of Jesus when it is conveinent or when I feel like it.  If you follow Christ it isn’t just a daily thing….it’s continual….unending….moment by moment!  Okay I’m done preaching I just Love the Lord so much!  I want to learn more and more from My God!

My Redeemer Lives

sung by Crystal Lewis

For I know my redeemer lives
And in the end He will stand on the earth
For I know my redeemer lives
And in the end He will reign on the earth

Though my flesh it be destroyed
Yet with my eyes I will see God

For I know my redeemer lives
And I will stand with Him on that day
For I know my redeemer lives
And I will stand with Him on that day

Oh my heart it yearns within me
For the day when Jesus returns
Oh my heart it yearns within me
For the day when Jesus shall reign

Though my flesh it be destroyed
Yet with my eyes I will see God

For I know that my redeemer lives
And I will stand with Him on that day
For I know that my redeemer lives
And I will stand with Him on that day

Proverbs 8:32-36

32 Now then, my sons, listen to me; blessed are those who keep my ways. 33 Listen to my instruction and be wise; do not ignore it! 34 Blessed is the man who listens to me, watching daily at my doors, waiting at my doorway. 35 For whoever finds me finds life and receives favor from the Lord. 36 But whoever fails to find me harms himself; all who hate me love death.

This passage is an awesome truth of blessing and also a warning! We can have life because Our Redeemer LIVES!

Psalm 71:15-24

15 My mouth shall shew forth thy righteousness and thy salvation all the day; for I know not the numbers thereof.  16  I will go in the strength of the Lord GOD: I will make mention of thy righteousness, even of thine only.  17  O God, thou hast taught me from my youth: and hitherto have I declared thy wondrous works.  18  Now also when I am old and greyheaded, O God, forsake me not; until I have shewed thy strength unto this generation, and thy power to every one that is to come.  19  Thy righteousness also, O God, is very high, who hast done great things: O God, who is like unto thee!  20  Thou, which hast shewed me great and sore troubles, shalt quicken me again, and shalt bring me up again from the depths of the earth.  21  Thou shalt increase my greatness, and comfort me on every side.  22  I will also praise thee with the psaltery, even thy truth, O my God: unto thee will I sing with the harp, O thou Holy One of Israel.  23  My lips shall greatly rejoice when I sing unto thee; and my soul, which thou hast redeemed.  24  My tongue also shall talk of thy righteousness all the day long: for they are confounded, for they are brought unto shame, that seek my hurt.

I had to add a scripture from Psalms, otherwise it didn’t feel right :)  This scripture speaks greatly of giving praise and adoration to our God for Who He is and because He has Redeemed us!

Blessings to the Redeemed!  & Prayers for those still searching!

Love,

Saturday Psalm & Praise: Are You Washed in the Blood?

Author: Aunt_Jen  //  Category: Saturday Psalm & Praise

Saturday Psalm & Praise

It is such a blessing to read all the blogs from my sister, nieces, nephews, my mom and friends; and I can honestly say it’s easier for me to read than post!  BUT, I cannot go a week without giving Praise to God here on my blog!  I love this hymn; we are actually singing it this Sunday morning for church.  I’m sure you know this song….but read the words through.  It means so much to me when I read a song, think about the words.  Even if I am singing the song at home or in church I want to make sure I am not just being repetious I want to PRAISE GOD!  Like I said in an earlier post….It’s All about You Jesus!

Since this is a Saturday Psalm & Praise I want to make sure I Praise HIM!  So here goes my song of Praise and also a question to all……

Are You Washed In The Blood?

Elisha A. Hoffman 1878

Verse 1

Have you been to Jesus for the cleansing power?

Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?

Are you fully trusting in His grace this hour?

Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?

Chorus

Are you washed in the blood

In the soul cleansing blood of the Lamb?

Are your garments spotless?

Are they white as snow?

Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?

Verse 2

Are you walking daily by the Savior’s side?

Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?

Do you rest each moment in the Crucified?

Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?

Verse 3

When the Bride-groom cometh will your robes be white,

Pure and white in the blood of the Lamb?

Will your souls be ready for the mansions bright?

And be washed in the blood of the Lamb?

Verse 4

Lay aside the garments that are stained with sin

And be washed in the blood of the Lamb.

There’s a fountain flowing for the soul unclean;

O be washed in the blood of the Lamb.

Did you notice anything different about the verses, or the chorus?

When you read the first 3 verses they are asking you questions as well as the chorus.  On verse 4 it says….DO IT!  Lay it aside….there’s a fountain…..DO IT!  Pleading in a way…OH Be Washed!  For our Lords sake….He did go through so much so that we could live in Freedom from this sinful world and be washed in the Blood of The Lamb.

Psalm 146:1-6

Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord, O my soul!  2  While I live I will praiser the Lord; I will sing praises to my God while I have my being.  3  Do not put your trust in princes, Nor in a  son of man in whom there is no help.  4 His spirit departs he returns to his earth; In that very day his plans perish.  5  Happy is he who has the God of Jacob for his help, Whose hope is in the Lord his God,  6  Who made heaven and earth, The sea, and all that is in them; Who keeps truth forever.

Oh What a God we have, Oh What a Savior…..so tell me…………..

Are You Washed?             I AM!    :)

Blessings to you,

Saturday Psalm & Praise

Wow, I can’t believe how many things I have to Praise God about!  I mean when you really think about it, WOW!  I could just about cry…well I am teary-eyed already. God You have blessed my life in so many ways; where and how can I even begin to imagine. This is my first Saturday Psalm & Praise and I wanted it to be a dedication to the Lord for the gift He has given me to sing and praise Him with m
