Dehydration: Know the Facts

Jacque | January 23, 2010

Robin posted an excellent post on dehydration. I have passed out a few times in my life. One in particular stands out, but I don’t think it was a dehydration issue. It was an extremely warm day in which I ran outside in the midst of an emergency, holding a baby kitty that had been [...]

Living Learning Moments Home School 2009-10: Bible and Devotional, Discipleship

Jacque | August 17, 2009

Personal Bible Study time:
Older children: They do this on their own. I usually ask them if they got to read their Bible and what they are reading in.
Middlers: Same thing, though it is more of a reminder. I try to discuss it with them a bit.
Littles: That is my responsibility to read to them each [...]

Wish Lists, Book Lists, and Other Fun Stuff

Jacque | January 13, 2009

I ran Mom into town today to the Salon and went on to WalMart to get some things for the special dish for Matt tonight: Frito Pie (story and recipe to come). Some of my favorite people went with me, and we had a great time! Jocelyn, Eric, Hannah, Caleb, and LucyLillie and I looked [...]

Baruch Ha Shem Adonai

Jacque | December 27, 2008

I have learned in my heart a lot about Jewish culture and tradition since we have started studying Hebrew and my friends have encouraged me in finding out about the Jewish Holidays. What got off to a slow start a couple of years ago has been jump-started by God in our home in the past [...]

Hear, O Yisra’ĕl: יהוה our Elohim, יהוה is one!
and you are to love YHVH your Elohim with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your understanding, and with all your strength.' 6 These words, which I am ordering you today, are to be on your heart; 7 and you are to teach them carefully to your children. You are to talk about them when you sit at home, when you are traveling on the road, when you lie down and when you get up.
{Deuteronomy 6:4-9, Mark 12:28-30}

Welcome

Welcome to my online home, Walking Therein. I am a 40-something wife and Momma, trying to walk therein, squeezing in moments of Scripture reading, praise and worship and just quiet between the breastfeeding, child training, cooking, cleaning, child training, laundry, home school, child training, online ministries, and spending individual moments with hubby, adult children, Middles, Littles, and the infant.
Tis the life the Father gave me, and I am blessed to walk in it.
Did I mention the child training?

"Who am I? Nobody special; just a flawed wife and mom, daughter, sister, and friend chosen by YHVH to follow and tell about him."

I am a Believer in the one true God and the Messiah, his Son, whose name is Yehoshua. We keep his commandments because that is what his people do.
"...God's people, those who observe his commands and exercise Yehoshua's faithfulness."
Revelation 12, 14, 22

Jacque Mrs. Jacque Dixon and her husband, Matt are busy preparing and training their nine children up in YHVH's narrow way. We are currently living and home schooling in Costa Rica, sharing our love of Torah online. Walking Therein is where Jacque writes encouraging articles of faith, home schooling and the daily adventures of the Dixon family, with a mix of news and reviews also thrown in from time to time.
